Breathplay
Let the breath move your body, and let your body move the breath.

Reduce Stress/Revitalize Sleep/Relieve Pain/Increase Energy/Improve Memory

“Breathwork allows the body’s wisdom to heal itself” - John Clarke, MD

What if I told you that I had a medicine that would keep you calm and alert, helped you lose weight, aligned your posture, gave you more energy, boosted your immune system, helped you sleep, and generally made you a nicer person to be around? You say, "give it to me!" Right?

The good news is you already have it. It's Breathing. More specifically, lower body, diaphragmatic breathing. As a certified BREATHE Instructor, I can show you how to breathe again, how your body wants to breathe, how it was designed to breathe. In just a few sessions, your body will remember how it is meant to breathe.
Sadly though, most of us had unlearned how to do it. A study done by Dr. Belisa Vranich, the founder of The Breathing Class, of 158 children to understand at what age breathing mechanics changed. They found that both boys and girls changed their breathing from a perfect horizontal breath to a vertical or apical breath at around age 5 ½.
Some of the factors that caused this to happen:
-
They stopped rolling around
-
Being on the floor
-
Started sitting a lot/school
-
Wearing backpacks
-
Wearing tight clothing
-
Modeling their parents, other adults, and tv heroes.
By attending The Breathing Class, you will relearn how to breathe like you did before life (and compensations) happened.
When we aren't breathing properly, it makes it difficult for our bodies to perform at its optimal level. Even worse, improper breathing can potentially bring about a wide array of problems - increased stress and hormone levels, poor sleep, decreased energy levels, poor circulation, etc.
Breathing incorrectly also negatively affects the body's ability to move. It has a direct and negative impact on functional movement and can increase sedentary behaviors.

What's your breathing IQ?
When we breathe correctly, it has a direct and powerful impact on our body, mind and spirit. Our mood lifts, stress and anxiety melts away, we feel energized and able to accomplish more every day, our health improves, our ability to move improves, and so much more. While the term breathwork is commonly used to describe these classes, I prefer to use the term breathplay. It makes it way more fun and enjoyable.
